MG Beta Glucan Certificate of Analysis from GMP

Patented MG Beta Glucan (nonaggregated microparticulate Beta 1,3/1,6 glucan extracted from
yeast cell wall) is subject to a Certificate of Analysis (C of A) from Pro
Pac Labs; a
government approved GMP Certified Laboratory. Pro Pac Labs is FDA registered, compliant with
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and certified by the Therapeutics Goods
Association (TGA), the Australian version of the FDA.
The acronym GMP is used internationally to describe a set of principles and
procedures which, when followed by manufacturers of therapeutic goods, helps
ensure that the products manufactured will have the required and consistent
quality.
The C of A is an independent
analysis, with Pro Pac Labs in no way endorsing any product by virtue
of analyzing and issuing an ingredient evaluation as to content or absence of
certain substances. The Certificate of Analysis results indicate the
MG Beta Glucan sample tested is safe within industry and governmental
standards, noting the independent laboratory issues no opinions or comments on
testing - only test results.
The MG Beta Glucan has favorable test
results while containing beta glucan characteristics favorable to optimizing
nutritional immune response potentiation, including being manufactured by
a U.S. Patented process to assure the particulate insoluble glucan is a
microparticulate protected from reaggregation in the digestive process.
Neither micronization nor prevention of reaggregation are the subject of a
Certificate of Analysis, but are confirmed by scientific studies from the
University of Nevada School of Medicine, Department of Microbiology in 1998-2006.
As a note, Certificates of Analysis prepared and signed by a product manufacturer
rather than a GMP Certified Laboratory represent a
conflict of interest, even if claiming results were obtained from third parties.
When a company prepares a "non-independent" analysis, the entity is attempting
to convince the consumer the internal C of A has been an objective
professional scientific analysis of ingredients, when in fact this is untrue.
Are unfavorable results being omitted while favorable are included?
Full disclosure of testing methodology is also critical to
determine that results are based on nationally accepted testing criteria,
including FDA BAM, 8th Edition. If testing standards are not disclosed, a
Certificate of Analysis is suspect at best and useless at worst. Bonafide
manufacturers present the actual complete results of recognized independent
laboratories with full disclosure as to product sample and testing standards utilized in preparation.
The information provided below is the complete Certificate of Analysis with a
copy of the signed C of A with signatures available on request.
Some companies attempt to convince the consumer that the
percentage of beta glucan in the capsule, erroneously called purity, determines
immune response potentiation potency. Immune response potency depends on
the power of the beta glucan contained in the capsule and not the amount, volume
or percentage of total content. Purity should properly refer to the actual
beta glucan in the capsule, not the percentage of contents in the capsule that
is some unknown grade of beta glucan.
In other words, 3 mg of high quality patented processed MG
Glucan can be much more potent than 400 mg of a sub-standard competitor glucan
for reasons presented in the Medical School Research presented elsewhere on this
Website, although the 400 mg will fill up a huge capsule compared to the
easy-to-swallow capsule containing the 3 mg of MG Glucan. While a small
percentage of the capsule ingredient, the 3 mg of MG Glucan is more potent in
activating the immune response than the 400 mg of the substandard glucan subject
to reaggregation in the digestive process that reduces ingestion and
potentiation of the immune cells.
As an example, Nitroglycerin is much more potent as an
explosive than dynamite, although the dynamite is both heavier and takes up more
space in a box. Although Rocks are heavier and take up more volume than
Bullets - which would you want to fight back as ammunition against your enemies?
If you interview for a job, you don't get weighed or measured for how much space
you take up in a room to determine if you are best for the job! You are
evaluated on your ability to do the job and then on how you perform. The
same with Beta glucan or any other supplement.
Others describe "active linkage" as the determinant of
immune potentiation capabilities. Certainly the composition of a
particular beta glucan is important, specifically as to the amount of Beta 1,3d
and Beta 1,6 glucan. Wiith NSC MG Glucan, the percentage is approximately
92-93% Beta 1,3d and 7-8% Beta 1,6 glucan, based on University of NV, School of
Microbiology estimates after scientific testing. The filler in addition to MG
